We've supported quite a few events over the last few months - lots of parties at home through to the fully engineered events such as the band Hard to Handle or the Fairford Fireworks Event. The weather has made these outdoor events a tad more challenging but it is to be expected given the time of year.
We knew it was cold for the fireworks when we were packing up and found that there was a thin layer of frost on all the cables (which really hurt our hands when we were coiling them up). We treat our equipment with care and all the cables have been thoroughly cleaned, ready for the next event.
For the fireworks, due to a lack of zero latency comms with the firework team, we used internet clocks to ensure to the millisecond accuracy and timing between audio and fireworks. It looked and sounded awesome.
Our trusty QSC FOH systems have been working hard and haven't missed a beat even in the wettest and coldest conditions. We're now looking forward to a few slightly warmer indoor events.... hopefully.
