Christmas Carol Service

Published on 21 December 2022 at 22:55

We became a jack of all trades for this wonderful service of Carols on the Farm.   Our local farmer had generously allowed us to use his wheat barn for the carol service so we could avoid the rain and melting snow (not to mention the cold).

SoundsCotswold provided power distribution, sound, lighting and video production services for this event.  Happily the wheat did a very good job of dampening the acoustics of the barn.

PA was the usual mixture of Allen & Heath QU24 desk with QSC speakers. lighting was static  on LED parcans with video projection onto a Dalite screen from a view sonic 5k projector with a very short throw lens.  Software for video production was a cloud package we're trying out called Presenter (www.worshiptools.com)

Straw bales were provided by the farm and made for a very good place to put the guitar down when "someone" forgot a very important component of his guitar stand.

Massive thanks to all who were involved and supported us, especially Pete McCrea (Production AV) who is, in all honesty, an absolute legend.
